All Fromm tools are factory set-up for a specific strap width and thickness. Unless changed you must use the correct. Using the wrong strap may cause the tool to malfunction, or worse yet injure someone due to a poor weld. Fromm battery operated tools are not intended for use on steel strapping and will damage the tension wheel if so used.

Often we fine tools are sent for repair only to fine the tool is being used with the wrong strap. It is easy to identify the factory set-up from the I.D. plate. The plate is located on the top of all Fromm battery powered tools. There are 2 numbers on the plate, the top number is the "serial number" the lower number is the "item number" used to identify the correct strap size for that tool. Locate the number from the following charts to identify your tools strap
